- After you’re done with this application, please email us (empyreweb@gmail.com) with a link to the WordPress.com account (or self-hosted wordpress installation) that you have created, your name and the best way for us to contact you.
You main task is to design a site for Bob's Burgers using a free account at wordpress.com (if you have the resources feel free to use a self-hosted wordpress installation), they are a local restaurant that really has no idea what they want their site to look like, all they have is a business card (see below). Use the business card to create a header and customize the theme to the best of your abilities. Use Lorem Ipsum as content but come up with what sorts of pages a business like Bob's would need. Apply any widgets and plugins you think would be appropriate.
Once you are done with the design create an additional page on the bob's burgers site titled "application" and fulfill the following tasks on it.
1. Upload three screenshots of what you think are the three best designed websites on the internet (don't spend too much time on this).
2. Please indicate how long it took you to complete the entire Bob's Burgers site (minus the application page).
3. Post or link to any graphic design work you have done in the past.
4. What websites/blogs do you read most often?
5. How many hours per week could you work?
6. How much would you expect to earn per hour doing work like this?
7. Explain the benefits of using a self-hosted wordpress site over a wordpress.com site and what you would have done differently for Bob's Burgers if you were using a self-hosted wordpress site (N/A if you used self-hosted).
